Sweetwater Union High School District is committed to collaborating with caregivers, foster parents, kinship providers, group home providers, social workers, probation officers, court-appointed special advocates, and other members of the community to promote educational rights, stability, and success for students in foster care.

Sweetwater Union High School District’s Foster & Homeless Youth Education Services Program provides students in foster care with assistance related to:

  • School placement, enrollment, and transfer
  • School meals
  • School transportation
  • Educational services
  • Mental health services
  • Case consultation and management
  • Dispute resolution process
